The Parish Council agreed at a meeting on February 18th 2013 that it should seek to secure a Neighbourhood Plan to improve local input to planning and development within the Parish.
After two public meetings in February and July 2013 an application to designate a Neighbourhood Area for Bridstow Parish was submitted to Herefordshire Council in August 2013.
The Application was approved on September 23rd 2013.
A Steering Group was formed to take the Plan forward and held it's first Meeting on September 4th 2014.
Open Days were held at Bridstow Village Hall on November 20th 2014 and July 8th and 9th 2016 to inform Parishioners about the Plan.
The Steering Group meets regularly and is currently preparing the draft Neighbourhood Plan.
The Steering Group consists of parishioners and is responsible to the Parish Council.

NEXT STAGE – PREPARATION OF DRAFT NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
A Questionnaire was distributed to and collected from residents of the Parish during January and February 2016 and was then analysed by the consultancy Data Orchard. The response rate from individuals aged 16 years and over to the questionnaire was 55% - this was a positives result and what would be expected from a Parish of our size.
A Youth Forum was held at Bridstow Village Hall in 17th April 2016 for age 16 and under children who live in the Parish to put forward their views of what they would like to see in the future.
Open Days were held at Bridstow Village Hall on 8th and 9th July 2016 to inform Parishioners about the results of the Neighbourhood Plan Questionnaire – and to review the initial vision and objectives drawn up based on these results covering the environment, housing, the local economy and services.
